MECHANISM FOR BALANCING STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL GOALS OF THE PRODUCTION AND TRADE CHAIN

Abstract

The article is aimed at developing a mechanism for balancing the strategic and tactical goals of the production and trade chain as a management system that directs the work of all units to achieve the set goals and adapt to market changes. The article presents the author's vision of formation of a mechanism for balancing strategic and tactical goals of the production and trade chain in the current conditions of the country. The paper presents an analysis of the components that comprise the production and trade chain. The article puts forward the fundamental principles that underpin and enable the functioning of the production and trade chain as a system. The interpretation of the terms "goal" and "planning" is examined. This paper presents a characterisation of the strategic and tactical planning that occurs within the production and trade chain of an enterprise. The author proves the need to balance the strategic and tactical goals of the production and trade chain. The research proposes a mechanism for balancing the strategic and tactical goals of the production and trade chain, which provides for adaptation to the external and internal environment, is based on the creation of stages for harmonious coordination of flowing assets, establishes criteria for resolving possible contradictions and adapts the forecast indicators of the enterprise to modern realities. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the theoretical development of this important topic, which would take into account the peculiarities of the Ukrainian economy and the specifics of such a sphere of activity as production and trade, is still insufficient. The practical significance of the results obtained is that in-depth scientific research on the management of strategic and tactical goals of an enterprise, especially their balancing, in the current conditions of development of the Ukrainian economy can be used by existing enterprises with a production and trade chain, as well as used for further scientific research of theoretical and practical problems. The conducted research allows to conclude that the proposed mechanism for balancing strategic and tactical goals of the production and trade chain will help to solve fundamental issues not only of financial resources, but also of improving the organisational structure of the enterprise, managing material flows, expanding and maintaining effective partnerships. It is apparent that the proposed mechanism for balancing strategic and tactical goals should be modified and adapted to changing conditions. It creates the basis for strategic and tactical plans, the main purpose of which is to select actions and means to achieve the main goal of the enterprise.
