Abstract

The article explores the concept of emotional intelligence (EI) as a tool for personnel self-management within the sector-specific context of socially responsible enterprises. It emphasizes that in the contemporary business environment, where corporate social responsibility (CSR) is gaining strategic importance, the ability to effectively manage employees’ emotional processes is a critical factor for organizational success. The article identifies key challenges in integrating EI into corporate culture, including limited awareness, insufficient resources for development, difficulties in assessment, and underdeveloped methodological frameworks. Drawing on theoretical literature and the works of both domestic and international scholars, the study outlines the mechanisms through which EI influences employee productivity, communication, stress resilience, and motivation. Particular attention is paid to the sectoral application of emotional intelligence, specifically in business, education, and sports. The findings demonstrate that the development of EI among employees fosters a positive workplace climate, reduces conflict, increases engagement, and enhances overall organizational effectiveness. In the field of education, a teacher’s emotional intelligence is shown to be a decisive factor in student engagement and the quality of the learning process. Among educational professionals, EI contributes to the formation of a supportive socio-psychological environment, effective pedagogical interaction among educators, students, and parents, and heightened empathy that enables a better understanding of learners’ needs. It also supports resilience against professional burnout through emotional self-regulation. Furthermore, EI fosters a motivational climate that encourages the development of innovative teaching approaches and promotes reflective practice for ongoing professional growth. In the domain of sports, the concept of EI encompasses both the individual performance of athletes and the dynamics of team collaboration and coaching leadership. The article proposes a generalized model of emotional intelligence management as a systemic approach to professional development and the implementation of socially responsible corporate strategies.
