THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF DETERMINING THE PRODUCTION POTENTIAL OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The article explores the multifaceted concept of the production potential of agricultural enterprises. During the research, the relevance of studying production potential and the necessity for further investigations are established. Emphasis is placed on the expediency of utilizing modern agronomic, socio-economic, and agroecological zone models, allowing the identification of specific subtypes of production potential for agricultural enterprises. The main subtypes of production potential are defined, along with the bases for their formation. The impact of production potential on various aspects of agricultural enterprise activities is examined. Factors influencing production potential and a list of key indicators for determining the production potential of agricultural enterprises are identified. A proposed sequence of factors and their indicators for determining the production potential of agricultural enterprises is presented. The existence of stages in the sequence of calculating indicators used to measure production potential in agricultural production is established, including the determination of agroclimatic potential, identification of yield gaps, determination of yield growth rates, and mechanisms for their achievement. Practical directions for enhancing the production potential of agricultural enterprises are suggested.
